Experience
I am a graduate of Cornell University where I majored in Human Development and minored in Educational Studies. Part of my curriculum while in college involved spending time with K-12 students, and teaching them the skills they would need to be successful. After I graduated, I became involved with an after-school, elementary school program which provided academic enrichment. I really enjoy tutoring Math and test prep for the ACT. I like having a positive impact on each of my students, and I find it rewarding to experience a student's delight when their test scores improve. I am a proponent of individualized instruction because it provides the student with personal feedback about their abilities and where further work is needed. I try to provide an open, relaxed atmosphere so that students feel free to ask any questions they might have. I am currently available to teach a number of subjects, including Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Biology, Psychology, ACT English, ACT Math, ACT Reading, SAT Math, AP Biology, Phonics, Reading, Writing, and many others. In my free time I enjoy volunteering, playing sports, baking, traveling, and reading.
